Turkey Earthquake Appeal

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake strikes south-eastern Türkiye.The powerful earthquake has hit parts of Türkiye and Syria, killing at least 100 people and 440 injured. The tremor measured at 7.8 magnitude caused buildings to collapse and was also felt in Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan & Iraq. Needless to mention that the affected parts in northern Syria are areas of refugees.The quake shook buildings for about 40 seconds and it's extent was felt by many residents in Beirut who left their homes and took to the streets or got in their cars to drive away from buildings.Türkiye is located in one of the world’s most active earthquake zones and some 18,000 people were killed in powerful earthquakes that hit the country’s northwest in 1999.Our field partners have mobilised to distribute much needed food & medical aid to assist the affected families in the area.Help us relieve the affected families today!

Emergency Winter Appeal

Every year harsh winters ravage vulnerable communities across the world. Children freeze to death in tents or lose their lives when their flimsy homes catch fire as they struggle to keep warm.As the winter months creep in, storms and blizzards batter many parts of the Middle East and Asia. Millions of families face the stark choice of whether they will put food on the table or gas in their heaters. Temperatures regularly fall well below freezing while heavy rains and snowstorms overwhelm towns, villages and farms alike.

Life is a constant hardship for them to just barely survive. Some are now refugee in neighboring countries like the Syrian refugees who are in refugee camps in Turkey and Lebanon. Palestinians displaced lost homes, land, and even family members due to the never-ending conflicts around them. They all face never-ending hardships, disappointment, and suffering.

This Ramadan, you can help children living in conflict. For refugees around the world, every day they threat of conflict, hunger and the climate crisis. For many, this means hunger, poverty, fear, and the loss of healthcare and education.The situation in Syrian refugee camps is an ongoing and worsening humanitarian disaster with more than 3.68 million refugees in turkey.
